Susan Sloane is a freelance writer, self-taught art aficionado and raw food enthusiast. She loves all things Scottish, Celtic, and Scandinavian and is currently exploring these – her ancestry.
Previous professional incarnations include: accounting, Real Estate investing, Master Intuitive, and long ago – before online dating sites were created – she did a brief and interesting stint selling memberships at a video dating service. A former newspaper journalist with essays published in a literary journal and magazines, like every other writer she’s tried her hand at a screenplay. Self-expression via the pen has always been a fire in her belly and at the fore of her mind. Writing creative non-fiction is her great, beloved compulsion.
Sloane is the author of two books – one non-fiction for adults, the other a short story collection for children, illustrated by her son. You can find it here.
When she’s not writing about herself in third-person, she paints purely for pleasure, swims in the ocean, and listens to the birds sing. (She would never admit it publicly, but she loves The Real Housewives, and some of her favorite words have just four letters.) She is Mom to two handsome young men, and lives in a sea-side town in Massachusetts.
